Faith Christian girls finish runner-up at New Year's Invitational

Faith Christian goes 1-1
* MONROE -- Charity Spencer earned all-tournament recognition and Faith Christian logged a 1-1 worksheet during the Tabernacle Christian School New Year's Invitational.
Spencer pumped in a team-high 14 points in the Conquerors' opening-round victory over Temple Christian. Brianna Champion and Elizabethe Weeks contributed 10 points apiece.
Spencer scored nine points in Faith's 51-27 loss to Tri-City in the championship game. Weeks provided eight points, while Christina Powell supplied four points.
Weather permitting, Faith Christian (4-9 overall) travels to Cornerstone Christian in N.C. Christian Schools Association 2-A play on Tuesday.
