South Creek 26
* ROBERSONVILLE -- Princeton caputred the South Creek Holiday Tournament championship by beating the hosts 29-26 on Thursday night.
Savanna Massengill led the Bulldogs with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Massengill was named to the All-tournament team. Meghan Gerell added five points in the last two mintes for Princeton.
The Bulldogs (4-8 overall) will host Spring Creek on Jan.7.
Boys' basketball
Wayne Country Day 56, Metrolina 46
* ASHEVILLE -- Wayne Country Day completed the Carolina Day Holiday Tournament with a win over Metrolina on Thursday night.
Josh Gregory led the Chargers with 25 points and five rebounds. Tyson Pearson added 17 points and Brandon McCarter finished with 13 for the Chargers.
Wayne Country Day (8-3 overall) will travel to Harrells Christian Academy on Tuesday.
