Boys' basketball
Faith Christian 60, Hilltop Christian 39
* FUQUAY VARINA -- Faith Christian put away Hilltop Christian with a 21-0 run in the third quarter and improved to 5-3 overall on Monday.
Aaron Hill led the Conquerors with 16 points. Wes Caudle added 11 points and Connor Anderson finished with 10 markers.
Faith Christian will play host to Neuse Christian on Friday night.
Grace Christian 55, Wayne Christian 33
* RALEIGH -- Taurell Singletary paced the Wayne Christian offense with 14 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome a hot-shooting Grace Christian team on Monday night.
Chase King added 11 points and seven rebounds for the Eagles. Chandler Harrell pulled down eight boards.
Wayne Christian (1-5 overall) entertains Carolina Christian 1-A Conference foe Crossroads Christian on Friday.
Girls' basketball
Grace Christian 57, Wayne Christian 16
* RALEIGH -- Only two players scratched in the scoring column as Wayne Christian fell to Grace Christian on the road Monday night.
Katie Isenhower and Brooke Barfield scored eight points apiece in the defeat.
Wayne Christian (1-4 overall) plays host to Carolina Christian 1-AConference opponent Crossroads Christian on Friday night.
Hilltop Christian 34,
Faith Christian 32 (OT)
* FUQUAY VARINA -- Faith Christian erased a double-digit, first-quarter deficit before falling in overtime to Hilltop Christian on Monday night.
Brianna Champion led the Conquerors with 17 points and nine rebounds. Charity Spencer added eight points and 10 boards.
Faith Christian (2-5 overall) entertains Neuse Christian on Friday night.
JV sports
* Boys' basketball: C.B. Aycock 52, North Johnston 27 -- Michael Williams led the unbeaten Golden Falcons with 17 points. Cameron Johnson added 10. Jarius Whitlock and Greg Williams collected six and five points, respectively. Aycock (4-0 overall) is off to its best start during Davis Harris' tenure as head coach.
* Boys' basketball: Wayne Christian 56, Grace Christian 46 -- Dylan Smith paced the Eagles with 25 points. Tyler Lacerda and Chris Easom each added 12 points respectively in the win. Wayne Christian (5-0 overall) will play host to Crossroads Christian on Friday.
* Girls' basketball: C.B. Aycock 34, North Johnston 11 -- Quanika Artis paced the Golden Falcons with 16 points. Raquelle Lawrencec added eight markers.
Middle schools
* Boys' basketball: Norwayne 44, Rosewood 25 -- Norwayne got off to a hot start and kept Rosewood at arms length in a 44-25 win. Bobby Hampton led the Cobras with 13 points. Ian Best added eight points in the win.
* Boys' basketball: Cape Fear Christian 40, Wayne Christian 26 -- Hunter Burt led the Eagles with 11 points. Seth Harrell added seven points and 11 rebounds.
* Girls' basketball: Rosewood 42, Norwayne 11 -- Lexi Mercer led the Eagles with 22 points. Kristen Yelverton added 10 points in the win. Rosewood (6-0 overall) travels to Mount Olive on Thursday.
