* LaGRANGE -- Eastern Wayne opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a goal from Tyler Muelenthaler and never looked back in a 4-2 win over Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference opponent North Lenoir on Wednesday night.
Kyle Sasser added a goal in the 22nd minute and Ryan Allison rounded out the first half scoring with a goal in the 39th minute for Eastern Wayne. Allison added a second goal after the intermission on an assist from Nick Bowden.
Oscar Navasette scored the Hawks lone marker.
Eastern Wayne (7-8-0 overall, 7-5-0 ECC) will face Southern Wayne on Saturday in the opening round of the conference tournament. North Lenoir (8-9-2, 4-7-1) will be the guest of Triton. Game times have yet to be determined.

* 12-Under: Mount Olive 48, Eastern Wayne 38 -- Lee Daniels led the Warriors with 242 yards passing and four touchdowns. Isiah Hatchett caught three touchdown passes. Brock Johnson recovered a fumble on defense and Collin Nix led the Warriors in tackles.
