Williamson, Davis lead Dawgs on road

ROBBINS -- Princeton unleashed a passing attack reminiscent of last season and bested North Moore 41-21 on Friday night.

The Dawgs totaled 190 yards through the air and found balance in the running game with 203 rushing yards.

After spotting the Mustangs a 14-0 advantage, Princeton found the end zone when Austin Jacobs plunged across the goal line for a three-yard score. On the Dawgs' next possession Brad Williamson pulled his team even within one point on a 31-yard scoring strike to Forest Stewart.

Trailing 21-13 at halftime, Princeton took control of the game in the third quarter. Williamson hit Alan Cooke for a 13-yard touchdown and capped the Dawgs' next drive with a five-yard run. Williamson and Cooke hooked up a second time just four minutes later.

"We were able to run the ball effectively and that opened up the passing game in the second half," said Princeton head coach Russell Williamson. "We need to have that kind of balance going forward."

Cooke capped the scoring with a six-yard plunge in the fourth quarter.

Brad Williamson finished with 187 passing yards on 18 completions. Jevontae Davis led the Dawgs with 134 yards on the ground. Cooke added 57 rushing yards and tallied three total touchdowns.

Princeton (1-1 overall) entertains Dixon on Friday.
