WINSTON-SALEM -- Perennial 2-A powerhouse Salisbury posted two shutouts in doubles and rolled past Greene Central at the Twin Cities Invitational on Friday afternoon.
"Salisbury is without a double the best 2-A team in North Carolina this year, and they are one of the best regardless of classification," said Greene Central head coach Donald Clark. "I was very pleased with our play in singles and doubles. All six of our girls fought hard and hit a lot of balls. We were very aggressive in doubles and did not back off of them."
The teams played 10-game pro sets.
