The 800 foursome -- Karon Alston, Demetrio Irby, Vontarius Kornegay and Corteiz Sprangle -- posted a time of 1 minute, 33 seconds. Sprangle ran the anchor leg on the 3,200 quartet that included Davon Deshields, Bryan Johnson and Micah Best.

Alston was the regional runner-up in the 200. Sprangle claimed third in the 300 hurdles. James Williams earned a state bid with a fourth-place mark of six feet in the high jump.

On the girls' side, Stephani Taylor qualified in the 400 run. She ran the opening leg on the state-qualifying, 1,600-meter relay that included Kayla Jones, Ghomonni Uzzell and Jade Dansler.
