HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- Mount Olive's streak of three consecutive top-three finishes in Conference Carolinas regular-season and tournament play ended Friday afternoon.
The fifth-seeded Trojans lost to fourth-seeded Anderson 7-6, and concluded their season with a 5-2 setback against seventh-seeded Pfeiffer.
MOC (23-29) experienced its first losing campaign since 2006.
Shortstop Kelly Minshew and Alyssa Bradshaw each clubbed a two-run homer in the opening-round defeat to Anderson. Bradshaw also cranked out a two-RBI single in the fifth inning.
Anderson took a one-run lead in the sixth and the Trojans rallied in the seventh. Kayla Voorhees singled up the middle and Bradshaw doubled down the left-field line. Anderson reliever Donya Cobb coaxed MOC into back-to-back outs to seal the win.
Bradshaw batted 3-for-4 with a career-high four RBI.
In elimination-round play, Pfeiffer raced to a 4-0 lead during its first at-bat.
The Trojans pulled within 4-2 on Bradshaw's two-RBI homer, but the Falcons answered with a seventh-inning, run-scoring single.
Three MOC seniors -- pitcher Sasha Snyder, third baseman Allison Czerski and catcher/designated hitter Ericka Taylor -- played their final collegiate games.
