CLINTON -- North Duplin got a stout pitching performance in a 15-1 beating of Lakewood on Wednesday in the Clinton High School Easter Tournament.
Larry White tossed a five-inning no-hitter for the Rebels. White allowed one run on a walk and an error and tallied six strikeouts.
The Rebels scored four runs in the first inning and added eight additional markers in the third stanza.
Marcus Kornegay propelled the victors with two hits and two RBI. James Kornegay added one hit, drew two walks and scored three runs.
North Duplin (8-2 overall) jumps back into Carolina 1-A Conference play on Tuesday it travels to Ayden-Grifton.

Faye Franklin claimed play-of-the-day honors during weekly tournament action on the Walnut Creek Country Club links.
Novella Zambelli and Gaye Bryant captured low gross and low net, respectively, in first flight competition. Nancy Satterfield (low gross) and Pete Reaves (low net) fared well in second flight.
Mary Morris seized low putts.
