MOUNT OLIVE -- Kendrick Easley continues to rack up postseason recognition.

The Mount Olive College senior guard has been tabbed as a first-team All-American on the State Farm NABC Division II men's basketball squad. He has also been selected to play in the East-West All-Star game this weekend at the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in Springfield, Mass.

Tip-off is 7 p.m. Friday.

Easley is among 22 players nationwide and one of three players from the Southeast Region selected to play in the All-Star Game, and will be on the West All-Star Team. The All-Stars will be introduced at halftime of the second semifinal game Thursday evening, which will be televised by CBS College Sports.

The All-Star teams will tour the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and conduct a youth clinic before playing Friday evening. The All-Stars will also be in attendance at Saturday's national championship contest.

Easley is the second Trojan student-athlete in school history to be invited to participate in a national collegiate all-star competition. Baseball student-athlete Josh Stewart competed in the Home Run Derby at the 2001 College World Series.

A senior from Norfolk, Va., Easley led the Trojans to a 25-win campaign which included the Conference Carolinas regular-season and tournament championships. Easley, for the second straight year, earned the Conference Carolinas player-of-the-year award.

He concluded his career as the all-time leading scorer in MOC history with 2,261 points. Easley eclipsed the mark of 2,165 points set by Russell Stephens during the program's NAIA years.

Easley ranked sixth nationally in scoring (23.9 points a game) and surprised the 30-point plateau on seven occasions. He set the single-game scoring record with a 44-point outburst in January against in-state rival Pfeiffer University. It was the third-highest, single-game total in Division II play this season.
