HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Jarvis Karchewski and Sean Moye each served a career-best seven aces, sparking Mount Olive to a 30-17, 30-17, 30-19 conquest of Washington Adventist during the Eastern Mennonite University tri-match Thursday evening.

Christiaan Rombaut, the reigning Conference Carolinas player-of-the-week, hammered out a match-high 14 kills in the Trojans' 30-26, 30-19, 30-26 victory over host EMU. Freshman outside hitter Adam Miracle provided 13 kills.

Alex Hoekstra notched 41 assists.

Mount Olive (12-2 overall) returns to action Friday for a pivotal Conference Carolinas match at Lees-McRae. The Trojans trail the league-leading Bobcats (6-4, 4-0 CC) by one-half game.

The top two finishers advance to the inaugural Conference Carolinas championship April 17 on the regular-season champion's home court.
