RALEIGH -- Wayne Country Day split a pair of games in the Word of God Thanksgiving Classic over the weekend.
On Friday night the Chargers fell to defending state champion United Faith 85-65.
Tim Hobbs led the Wayne Country Day attack with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Reco McCarter added 14 points and 11 boards. Rashid Williams added 12 markers.
The Chargers changed their luck on Saturday with a 75-64 victory over Jireh Prep.
McCarter led the scoring with 27 points and corralled 13 rebounds. Williams added 18 points while Hobbs talled 16.
Wayne Country Day (3-2 overall) will host Word of God Academy on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
