MOC - Trojans take care of Coker on road

HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- Senior middle hitter Racey Bartley cranked out a match-high 21 kills, and Mount Olive upended Coker (S.C.) 21-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-23 in a Conference Carolinas volleyball match Tuesday evening.
Bartley, who ranks 40th in the nation in kills, shared match-high honors with four blocks and was among four Trojans with two service aces.
Senior outside hitter Alicia Mote notched her third consecutive double-double and eighth in her last 12 matches overall with 12 kills and 12 digs. Christiane Maul added 12 digs, while Caitlin Skislak flirted with a double-double -- eight kills, nine digs.
Joanie Werling, the league's top setter, handed out 49 assists.
Mount Olive, coupled with Lees-McRae's victory over Pfeiffer, moved within one game of first place in the league standings. The Trojans (12-14 overall, 11-2 CC) travel to LMC on Friday and visit Belmont Abbey on Saturday.
