WILSON -- Racey Bartley and Alicia Mote tallied 15 kills apiece as Mount Olive remained unbeaten in Conference Carolinas play with a 25-17, 25-17, 25-14 victory over Barton at Wilson Gymnasium.

The Trojans claimed their 10th straight victory in the series and 19th overall in 21 meetings since 2001.

Mote added seven digs and a match-high four service aces in her first match back since missing the Southeast Crossover with flu-like symptoms. Mount Olive (2-12 overall) remained unbeaten in two league outings this season.

"We played a challenging non-conference schedule and it was good playing those teams and preparing us for conference play," said Mote, a senior outside hitter from Miami, Fla. "But that's all behind us and we're focusing on conference now. We're not paying any attention to the overall record. We're just excited to be 2-0 in conference."

Barton (3-8, 1-1 CC) tried to rally from an eight-point, first-set deficit. Chancey Sebranek served back-to-back aces and appeared to have a third consecutive ace, but Bartley kept the ball in play from beyond the back line and the point finished on a solo block by Caitlin Skislak.

The Trojans led 20-14.

Mote's kill on the left side closed out the first set.

Mount Olive jumped out to a 17-7 lead in the second set and was never threatened. Kailey Preece and Joanie Werling combined on three blocks in the set as Mount Olive took a two-set lead.

Bartley had six of her kills in the third set, while Preece and Christiane Maul both had aces to stake the Trojans to a 21-9. Barton made a late run to close within single digits, but after a Mount Olive timeout, the Trojans closed out the match.

Werling, who entered the match ranked first in the conference and 33rd in the nation with 10.11 assists per set, finished with 39 assists. Werling also record five blocks, two kills and an ace. Skislak reached double figures in digs for the fifth straight match with 11, while Preece added four blocks and two aces.

Mount Olive travels south of the border for conference matches at South Carolina schools Limestone and Converse.
