PIKEVILLE -- Colin DuBose cranked out three hits as Charles B. Aycock suffered a 12-5 loss to Snow Hill on the Junior American Legion baseball scene.
Tyler Farmer stroked a home run in a 2-for-4 effort. Tyler Ruffin contributed a double in two at-bats.
Wes Sowers and Trent Murray each slapped a home run for Snow Hill, and combined for six hits in the road win. Will Bynum and Zack Chase supplied two hits apiece.
It was Aycock's first loss in five outings this season.
On Monday, Bryant Stafford logged nine strikeouts on the pitcher's mound during Aycock's 5-3 victory over North Lenoir.
Farmer collected three hits. Travis Musselman and Jon Taylor (three RBI) each recorded a double in the win.
Aycock (4-1 overall) travels to West Johnston on Saturday. The seven-inning contest begins at 1 p.m.

Walnut Creek LGA
Gaye Bryant secured play-of-the-day honors during weekly tournament play on the Walnut Creek Country Club links.
Mary Ann Sutton and Charlotte Campbell seized low gross and low net, respectively, in first flight action. Betty Holloway and Pete Reaves won low gross and low net, respectively, in the second flight.
Faye Franklin had low putts for the field.
Lane Tree LGA
Libby Newsome completed a clean sweep during weekly tournament play at Lane Tree Golf Club.
Newsome captured game-of-the-week, low net and low putt honors.
