MOUNT OLIVE -- Kendrick Easley has earned yet another postseason honor.

The Mount Olive College guard has been selected to the NABC Division II men's basketball all-Southeast Region District first team. Easley has become eligible for All-American recognition by two organizations.

A 6-foot-1 junior, Easley earned the Conference Carolinas player of the year award after leading the Trojans to a share of the regular-season league championship. He averaged 21.1 points a game and ranked among national leaders in 3-point field goals made, 3-point field-goal percentage and free throw percentage.

Easley scored in double figures in 26 of 28 games this season. He finished with 593 points, leaving him seven points shy of becoming just the fourth player in MOC men's basketball history to tally 600 points in a season.

Mount Olive concluded the year 18-10 overall.

Academics

HIGH POINT -- More than 300 student-athletes have earned spots on the Conference Carolinas All-Academic Conference list, including 24 from Mount Olive College.

Junior and seniors with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 who have played a conference sport and attended that school for one academic year are eligible.

Here the Trojan honorees by sport:

* Baseball -- Patrick Ball, Andy Hilliard, Jesse Lancaster, Thomas Newsome, Paul Novicki and Airlon Vinson.

* Men's basketball -- Kendrick Easley and Nicholas Lewis.

* Men's soccer -- Adrian Daniels.

* Men's tennis -- Frederico Barros.

* Women's basketball -- Samone Bland.

* Women's soccer -- Lauren Condon, Amanda Huber, Carly Lavallee and Erynn Marino.

* Softball -- Kat Cahoon, Allison Czerski, Jenny Jackson, Karen Thornton and Morgan Whaley.

* Women's volleyball -- Kari Ham, Whitney Quinn, Caitlyn Skislak and Corie Skislak.

Postponements

MOUNT OLIVE -- Mother Nature 4, Mount Olive 0.

Friday's day-long rain and impending poor-weather forecasts have forced the postponements of several athletic events on the Mount Olive College campus.

The baseball doubleheader with in-state rival Pfeiffer University has been moved to today at 3 p.m., with a single game scheduled for Monday. Pfeiffer is 6-3 in Conference Carolinas play, while three-time defending champion Mount Olive (14-12 overall) is one game back at 5-4.

In softball, the Trojans' twinbill with Coker (S.C.) has been postponed. A make-up date hasn't been rescheduled.
