Betty Edwards emerged the play-of-the-day winner as the Walnut Creek Ladies Golf Association teed off their 2009 season.
Gaye Bryant won low putts.
Faye Franklin and Mary Ann Sutton took low gross and low net, respectively, in first-flight competition. Pete Reaves and Dot Julian claimed low gross and low net, respectively, in the second flight.
Lane Tree GA
KINSTON -- Linda Hilburn took low net in third-flight action and Bunkie Parker claimed low net in fourth-flight play during an Eastern Ladies League golf match at Kinston Country Club.
Hilburn claimed the game-of-the-week honors during weekly tournament play on the Lane Tree Golf Club links. Betty Jean Gurley and Linda Watson shared low net.
Watson won low putts.
