MOUNT OLIVE -- Mount Olive College men's basketball standout Kendrick Easley continues to garner attention in the preseason.
Easley, a 6-foot-1 junior, is one of 16 players named to the Division II Bulletin Preseason All-America Team. The recognition comes one week after he was named a preseason A-A honorable mention selection by Street and Smith magazine.
A native of Norfolk, Va., Easley earned all-East Region first-team accolades in 2007-08. He averaged 16.9 points an outing and helped the Trojans claim the Conference Carolinas regular-season and tournament championships.
Mount Olive made an unprecedented fifth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Division II East Regional.
The Trojans, ranked No. 18 in the preseason, open their season Nov. 15-16 at the Catawba College Classic. MOC alum Joey Higginbotham will make his coaching debut in the two-day affair.
