PRINCETON -- Franklinton's 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown with less than 90 seconds to play sent Princeton to a 34-28 loss on Friday evening.
Dylan Myers' 3-yard touchdown run and a two-point conversion put the Bulldogs on top 28-26 with 1:43 to play. Princeton's final drive following Franklinton's kickoff return ended in an interception.
The Bulldogs led 14-0 in the first quarter before the Red Rams recovered a fumble in the end zone for a score.
"We spent a lot of emotion in the first quarter," said Princeton head coach Russell Williamson. "In the second quarter I think we were kind of worn out and in the second half it was kind of who had the ball last."
