Hobbton drops ND

CALYPSO -- North Duplin fell to Hobbton in three games -- 25-18, 25-21, 25-22 -- on Thursday.
Katie Swanzy recorded five aces for the Rebels and Sam Cates had two kills, five assists, four aces and two blocks. Scarlett Martin added five kills and two aces. Angelica Favela chipped in three aces.
"We played so much better this game," said North Duplin head coach Heather Best. "Even though we lost, I saw a tremendous amount of improvement. The girls are working hard to minimize their errors.
"They really want to strive on improving and playing together. They know by doing this they will be successful."
