HOLLY RIDGE -- Dixon scored on its opening drive and added two more touchdowns off turnovers during a 26-6, non-conference victory over Princeton on Friday evening.

The host Bulldogs (1-1 overall) organized a 14-play scoring drive that ended on Chris Lawson's 6-yard scoring strike to tight end Scott Duvall.

Princeton (0-3) obliged with a fumbled handoff on its second play from scrimmage and Dixon cashed in after a 10-play drive. Brent Truman recovered the visiting Bulldogs' second fumble of the quarter and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown.

Dixon led 20-0.

"We were down before we could bat an eye," said Princeton head coach Russell Williamson. "Once we got past that (first quarter), I thought it was fairly even."

Quarterback Dylan Myers ended Princeton's string of nine scoreless quarters with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Dillon Daughtry in the second period. Williamson's club didn't score again, while Dixon added a fourth-quarter touchdown.

Myers finished the night 5 of 20 for 58 yards with two interceptions. Overall, Princeton committed seven turnovers compared to one for the host Bulldogs.

Junior running back Kwame Corprew emerged Princeton's top rusher with 48 yards on just three totes. Michael Radford supplied 26 yards on six carries, while Will Whitley contributed 19 yards on two attempts.

Dixon owned a 280-193 edge in total offense.
