Trojan men ranked among nation's volleyball leaders

Jose Lanier ranks second in aces and Mike Carroll is tied for sixth in hitting percentage as Mount Olive continues to be ranked among the nation's individual and team men's volleyball national statistics leaders.

Lanier has 38 service aces in 47 games for an average of 0.81 aces per game. Lanier also ranks ninth in blocks with 1.38 per game. Carroll is one of only eight NCAA Division I and Division II players hitting over .500. Carroll has 97 kills and 13 errors in 162 attempts for a .519 hitting percentage. Kris Suarez is tied for seventh in digs with an average of 2.59 per game.

In the team statistics, Mount Olive's .359 hitting percentage is the third-highest in the nation, trailing only Ohio State and Brigham Young.

Mount Olive takes to the road this weekend as the Trojans head to Jamaica, N.Y. to compete in the York College Tournament Friday and Saturday. Mount Olive makes a swing through Baltimore, Md., on the way home to take on Villa Julie Sunday.
