Corley among nation's leaders in assists, steals

MOUNT OLIVE -- Mount Olive College junior Keona Corley, who has led the nation in steals in each of the last two weeks, ranks among the top five in the nation in both steals and assists in this week's NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Statistics Report.
Corley is second in the nation in steals and fourth in assists. As a team, Mount Olive ranks fourth in the nation in steals and is tied for fifth in assists. Corley, a 5-5 point guard from Lillington (Western Harnett HS), is averaging 4.3 steals and 7.8 assists per game this season. Her 11 steals against Limestone in early December remain tied for the highest single-game steals total in Division II this season. Earlier this month, she broke her own school record with 14 assists against Erskine, which tie her for the fifth-highest single-game assists total this season. Corley broke her own school single-game assists record again, dishing out 15 assists on Monday.
