Princeton rallied from a two-game deficit and wrestled the Class 1-A Carolina Conference volleyball tournament crown from archrival Rosewood on Wednesday evening.

Stephanie Daughtry provided a double-double -- 13 kills, 12 digs -- as the Bulldogs prevailed 21-25, 24-26, 25-14, 25-20, 15-10. Princeton (18-4) clinched the No. 1 seed for the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs and entertains Super Six member Midway at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Rosewood (18-4) plays host to the Coastal Plains No. 3 representative.

Middle hitter Cynthia Peedin complemented Daughtry's effort with 11 kills and two blocks. Kortnie Yutzy provided six service aces, six kills and 13 digs.

Brittany Davis dished out a tournament-high 36 assists.

Princeton recorded a phenomenal 81 digs in the five-set affair.

"We did an outstanding job covering the court and digging out the ball," said Dawgs coach Trudy Rast. "We worked on covering the holes. We played a strong net and had great serving from the entire team.

"I am very proud of our team for staying focused and coming from behind to pull off the win. The team worked together and never gave up."

Kasie Braswell spearheaded Rosewood's attack with five aces, seven blocks and six kills. Courtney Hill contributed eight kills. Aubrey Reinhard dished out 10 assists.

Chandra Meadows chipped in three aces and three kills.
