Eastern Wayne's Bryan Coltrane scored two goals in the Warriors 5-0 win at home over North Lenoir on Wednesday.
Eric Suncin, John Choi and Jose Ponce added one goal each for Eastern Wayne, while Coltrane, Will Hughes and Dustin Smith contributed one assist apiece.
Vincent Hagedorn posted three saves as Josh Olmstead had one save for the Warriors (2-1-1).
Eastern Wayne owned a 33-8 advantage in shots in the non-conference contest.
The Warriors, who claimed their second win of the season against the Hawks, return to action at South Central today at 7 p.m.
Aycock-Fike

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock's Jorge Delgado scored the Golden Falcons lone goal with seven minutes left in the second half -- forcing a 1-1 tie at home against Wilson Fike on Wednesday.
Gus Partida got the Golden Demons on the board in the 16th minute of the first half.
Aycock (3-0-1) owned a 13-7 edge in shots in the second meeting of the year between the two foes. The Falcons defeated the Fike in their opener in Wilson.
Aycock travels to Clayton today at 7 p.m.

Saints cruise
past Eagles
MOUNT OLIVE -- Southern Wayne emerged with a 7-2 win over Rosewood at the Mount Olive College courts on Wednesday to improve to 2-0 in the early season.
Tara Hirsch, Kaitlyn Thornton, Amber Bowden, Brianna Lofton and Stephanie Cox claimed wins in singles for the Saints, while the doubles combinations of April Tucker-Bowden and Lofton-Emily Martin emerged in doubles.
Erica Nichols posted Rosewood's lone singles win as Sidney Worrell and Jamie Andrews combined to take the No. 1 doubles contest.
Southern Wayne opens Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference play today at Wilson Beddingfield, while Rosewood hosts Wallace-Rose Hill today.

WILSON -- Wilson Fike claimed an 8-1 win at home over Greene Central on Wednesday.
Mary Katherine Prince, Sarah Farris, Farrell Wiggins, Kate Woodard and Katelyn Suggs claimed singles wins for the Golden Demons. Sarah Beth Carraway improved to 5-1 on the season and was the lone singles winner for Greene Central (2-4).
Fike, which swept the doubles, improved to 4-0 on the season.
The Rams host North Lenoir today at 4 p.m.

Hawks remain
unbeaten
North Lenoir's Brittany Sanders had 10 kills and was 23-of-24 from the service line in the Hawks' 25-21, 22-25, 14-25, 26-24, 22-20 win at Rosewood on Wednesday.
Brynn Fulghum was a perfect, 15-of-15 from the line for North Lenoir, which improved to 5-0 overall.
Kayla Sutton and Anna Kennedy combined for six kills for the Hawks.
Aubrey Reinhard had 11 assists and six kills for Rosewood (4-1) as Ashley Williams and Courtney Hill combined for 21 kills.
Both teams return to action at home today. North Lenoir hosts Pamlico, while Rosewood entertains Midway.
Princeton High
sweeps Spartans
PRINCETON -- Princeton's Sarah Gibbs posted five kills and served on nine straight points as the Bulldogs swept Union, 25-7, 25-17, 25-19 at home on Wednesday.
Stephanie Daughtry contributed nine kills for Princeton, while Brittany Davis added 23 assists. Cynthia Peedin and Kortnie Yutzy also added solid all around games for the Bulldogs, who improved to 6-1 heading into today's contest at Bunn.
Gators suffer

SPIVEY'S CORNER -- Spring Creek Ashley Barwick tallied five assists and three aces in the Gators' 25-16, 27-29, 25-18, 25-15 loss at Midway on Wednesday.
Kristin Smith added three aces and three kills for Spring Creek (2-3), while Brooke Albertson contributed five assists and Brooke Boggan had three kills, two aces and two digs.
The Gators host Princeton on Sept. 12 in the Class 1-A Carolina Conference opener for both teams.

Princeton
MOUNT OLIVE -- Southern Wayne's Alyssa Bradshaw fired a 50, while teammate Jordan Hill added a 51 in the Saints win over Princeton at Southern Wayne Country Club on Wednesday.
Southern Wayne finished with a team score of 165 as Princeton shot a 183.
The Saints return to action in the Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference opener at SWCC on Monday.

SPIVEY'S CORNER -- Shaquita Brooks had six kills in Spring Creek's 25-20, 25-23 loss at Midway on Wednesday.

Wayne Country Day's Brandon Davis and Hil Tanner had one goal each as the Chargers and Rocky Mount Academy played to a 2-2 tie on Wednesday at WCDS' field.
Kyler Reed had five saves for WCDS (0-2-1), which hosts Wayne Christian today.
