WASHINGTON -- Snow Hill's Tommy Cobb had three hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs in Post 94's 16-14 loss in 10 innings at Beaufort on Tuesday.

Justin Bagley, Hunter Chase and Blake Taylor also had multi-hit games for Snow Hill.

Hunter Chase picked up the loss, while Matt Howell got the win for Beaufortl.

On Wednesday, Post 94 suffered a 7-6 loss at Edenton in eight innings. No further information was available on Wednesday's game.

Snow Hill (3-2 overall) slipped to 1-2 in Area I East play heading into today's game at home against Wilson at 7 p.m.

Aycock claims

first win

PIKEVILLE -- Aycock claimed its first win of the season, claiming a dramatic 3-2 victory over Southern Nash on Wednesday.

With two outs in the seventh, Southern Nash's Jake Austin smacked a single to right against Jay Rose. One runner easily scored from third, but Aycock right fielder Bryant Hill cut down anoher runner trying to score from second for the final out of the game.

Rose tossed a complete game, striking out 10 in the win.

Zach Wright provided Aycock's lone offensive highlight with a three-run home run in the fourth with Evan Medford and Rose on base. Wright and Rose managed Aycock's only hits.

Southern Nash slipped to 3-2 on the year.

Aycock (1-2) hosts D.H. Conley in a doubleheader on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Linda Hilburn and Linda Watson won game of the week, while Libby Newsome claimed low net. Sally Pope, Newsome and Watson tied for the win in low putts.

Dixie Youth Majors

WCDS 11, MarMac Red 1 -- Cody Neal and Aaron Debusk combined for nine strikeouts in the win. Hil Tanner, Cole Davis, Russell Turner, Cody Jackson and Debusk paced WCDS (12-0) at the plate. WCDS takes on Grantham today for the regular-season title.
