Sasser, Faith Christian conquer Falls Road Baptist
T.J. Sasser led three players in double figures with 15 points in Faith Christian's 55-46 victory over Class 2-A N.C. Christian Schools Association foe Falls Road-Rocky Mount on Tuesday evening.
The Conquerors led 41-37 with five minutes remaining in regulation.
John Spencer and Aaron Sladick added 13 and 12 points, respectively, for Faith Christian. Josh Brannan pulled down a team-high 12 rebounds to go with six points.
Mikah Brondyke and Adam Stallings paced Falls Road with 17 and 15 points, respectively.
Faith Christian (14-1) plays host to Trinity Christian-Greenville on Friday.

Senior Adam Wright flirted with a quadruple-double in Wayne Country Day's 60-44, non-conference victory over Wayne Christian at Clifford Gymnasium.
Wright provided 19 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and seven blocked shots against the Eagles. Cameron Strickland and Jeff Franklin each contributed 11 points, while Tavon Waters chipped in 10.
Waters dished out eight assists, while Franklin grabbed eight rebounds.
T.A. Brannan and Nick Woods paced the Eagles with 20 and 14 points, respectively.
"Those two guys really played hard," said Wayne Christian coach Tim Brannan.
Wayne Country Day (13-6) entertains Rocky Mount Academy on Friday. Wayne Christian (9-9) is the guest of Village Christian of Fayetteville.

Kameron Byrd emerged with a game-high 13 points in Wayne Country Day's 35-25, non-conference victory over Wayne Christian at Clifford Gymnasium.
Kevin Martell added 11 points and Von Eason pulled down 10 rebounds for the Chargers, who rose to 9-4 overall.
Eric Williams posted a double-double -- 16 points, 13 rebounds -- and blocked five shots for Wayne Christian.
Wayne Country Day entertains Rocky Mount Academy on Friday.

claim home win
Jeremy Sandlin led a balanced offensive attack with 10 points in Faith Christian's 40-32 victory over Falls Road Baptist-Rocky Mount on Tuesday afternoon.
Austen Webber added seven points and Taylor Stocks provided six points for the Conquerors.
Faith Christian (7-3) entertains Trinity Christian-Greenville on Friday.

Chargers take

Bre Radford pumped in a team-high 12 points in Wayne Country Day's 42-36, non-conference victory over Wayne Christian at Clifford Gymnasium.
The Eagles suffered just their second loss of the season.
Radford pulled down three rebounds and picked the Eagles for two steals.
Wayne Country Day (4-3) plays host to Greenfield School on Jan. 24.

Rams unbeaten
in EPC 2-A action
BETHEL -- Greene Central received two forfeits and remained unbeaten on the Eastern Plains 2-A Conference scene with a 45-30 victory over North Pitt.
The Rams (9-3, 2-0 EPC) collected eight falls and one decision against the short-handed Panthers.
Heavyweight Justin Wellington pinned North Pitt's Kentrell Jackson in 3 minutes, 33 seconds for his team-leading 21st victory this season. Teammate Tim McNair, who competes at 145 pounds, reached the 20-win plateau with the same fall time against Jeff Turner.
Robert Phillips (125 pounds), Cameron Taylor (135), Chris Jones (140), Robert Tyndall (152), Darrin Gorham (189) and Marquis Eanes (215) each picked up an individual win. Eanes emerged the 215-pound champion in last weekend's inaugural Wilson County Takedown Report Invitational at Beddingfield.
Greene Central is the guest of defending EPC champion Tarboro High on Thursday.

places fourth
HAVELOCK -- The local W.A.V.E 14-under team finished fourth overall out of seven teams at a Copper Tournament in Havelock last weekend.
Alyssa Potter led the way with 11 aces and eight kills, while teammates Randi Oxendine and Hannah Hall had nine aces and four kills each. Carissa Turner added six aces and five kills as Mallory Fredrick provided five aces and three kills.
The W.A.V.E. return to action on Jan. 28 in a tournament at the Greensboro SportsPlex.

Wayne Country Day 54, Wayne Christian 31 -- Cameron Ford led three players in double figures with 15 points. Kobi Hood provided 14, while Brandon Davis chipped in 11. The Chargers (7-3) entertain Rocky Mount Academy on Friday.
