Mount Olive moved up four spots to No. 17 in this week's NABC Division II Men's Basketball Top 25 Poll, it was announced Tuesday. The Trojans have appeared in each of the first seven polls this season and 11 consecutive polls, dating back to last year.

Mount Olive has spent four weeks in the top 10 this season and has been ranked as high as No. 6.

Mount Olive (11-3 overall, 5-2 Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference) received 50 points in the poll, 30 points behind No. 16 Grand Canyon (Ariz.) and two points ahead of No. 18 Winona State (Minn.).

The Trojans extended their home winning streak to 17 with a pair of conference wins last week. Mount Olive defeated Erskine 76-63 Saturday, then hit 18 three-pointers Monday in a 102-50 win over Belmont Abbey. The Trojans' 18 three-pointers is the highest single-game total in the nation in Division II on the season.

Montevallo (Ala.) held at No. 1 for the second consecutive week and fifth time this season, receiving seven first-place votes and 199 points, one short of the maximum. No. 3 Seattle Pacific, which will play at No. 2 Western Washington Saturday, received the lone remaining first-place vote.

Mount Olive is one of two CVAC members in the top 25, joining No. 12 Barton. Along with the Trojans and Barton, No. 21 Alderson-Broaddus and No. 22 West Virginia State represent the NCAA II East Region in the poll. The season's first regional rankings will be announced Wednesday.

Mount Olive returns to action Saturday as the Trojans play host to Lees-McRae in a CVAC matchup. Tipoff is 4 p.m. at Kornegay Arena.
