MOUNT OLIVE -- Reid Clewis and Gina Dos Santos ranks among the nation's goal-scoring leaders and Lyndsay Brennan has this year's top single-game assists total in this week's NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Soccer national statistics report.

Clewis, a senior from Wilmington (New Hanover HS) is tied for 16th in the nation with a 1.00 goals per game average and tied for 18th in points per game (combined goals and assists) with a 2.40 average. Clewis scored a goal in each of his first five matches this season.

Goalkeeper Chris Roush, a sophomore from Swansboro (Swansboro HS) ranks 12th in the nation with a 0.446 goals against average. Roush allowed only two goals in his first 404 minutes. Rankings are based on games played through Sunday.

In the men's soccer team statistics, the Trojans rank fifth in scoring with 4.20 goals per game. Mount Olive finished the 2004 season ranked seventh in scoring. The Trojans are also tied for 11th with a 0.60 shutout percentage, posting three shutouts in their first five matches. Mount Olive entered this week as one of only four teams in the nation to start the season 5-0-0.

In the women's soccer statistics, Dos Santos is tied for 10th in scoring with an average of 1.33 goals per game. A sophomore from Whitehall, Pa. (Whitehall HS), Dos Santos is also tied for highest single-game goal-scoring total this year with four goals in the Trojans' season opener at North Greenville.

Brennan, a freshman from Springfield, Va. (Westfield HS), is tied for 14th in the nation in assists per game with a 0.83 average. Her five assists against Converse in August is the highest single-game total in the nation so far this season.
