Wayne Country Day's Elle Dubberly led the way with 15 points as the Chargers improved to 4-3 with a 47-26 win at home against Waccamaw Academy on Tuesday.

Kristin Grubb added 14 points for the Chargers, while teammate Tiara Brody chipped in 12 points.

Wayne Country Day travels to Terra Ceia on Thursday.

Goldsboro rocks Pam Pack

Goldsboro's Chevoya Jackson scored 15 points and dished out five assists in Goldsboro's 41-14 win at home over Washington on Tuesday.

Jessica Faison added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Cougars (3-2, 3-0 Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference), while Ashelyn James dropped in nine points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Goldsboro, which won its 19th straight ECC game on Tuesday, hosts defending Class 2-A Eastern Plains Conference champion North Lenoir on Thursday.

Wayne Christian wins on road

NORLINA -- Wayne Christian scored 20 points in the first quarter to build an eight-point lead and never looked back, defeating Norlina 45-36 in a Carolina Christian 1-A Conference game Tuesday night.

Brooke Norris had a season-best, 13 points for the Eagles, while Ashley Clark had 11.

Wayne Chrisian (4-3, 1-2 CCC) now 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference, begins play in the Wilson Christian Tournament on Friday.

Rosewood falls in league opener

FARMVILLE -- Rosewood's Jessica Hill scored 12 points in the Eagles 51-37 loss in their Class 1-A Carolina Conference opener on Tuesday at Farmville Central.

Clare Narron dropped in 11 points for Rosewood (1-3, 0-1 Carolina), which hosts Ayden-Grifton on Friday.

Farmville's Megan Zullo led all scorers with 20 points.

WASHINGTON -- Goldsboro's Danielle Irby scored 11 points in the Cougars' 41-31 win at Washington on Tuesday.

The win improves Goldsboro to 1-3 overall and 1-1 against Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference foes.

Dawnee Tate added 10 points for the Cougars, who travel to North Lenoir on Thursday.

Aycock stays unbeaten

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock's Shelly Lancaster scored 12 points to help boost the Golden Falcons to a 32-23 win at home against Southern Wayne on Tuesday.

Chelsey Jackson added 10 points for Aycock (3-0), which travels to North Johnston today.

Middle schools

Rosewood 16, Grantham 12 -- April Grace Rains scored 12 points for Rosewood (2-3), which plays Spring Creek Thursday.

Eastern Wayne 39, Norwayne 19 -- Eboni Reid led Eastern Wayne with 12 points, while Bridgette Briggs paced Norwayne with eight. Eastern Wayne (5-0, 1-0) travels to Goldsboro next as Norwayne makes the trip to Grantham.
