Elizabeth Christopher and Christie Charles earned positions on the all-tournament team after leading Faith Christian Academy to a runner-up spot in their own two-day invitational.
Christopher collected 13 points (12 on 3-pointers) in the championship game, but couldn't keep the offensive momentum as Victory Christian of Elizabeth City rallied for a 35-27 win. The visitors' Rebekah Cratty pumped in a game-high 16 points and grabbed Most Valuable Player honors.
Charles complemented Christopher's effort with five points, six assists and three steals.
"We had the lead for most of the first half and lost in the last minute," Conquerors coach Eddie Smith said. "They took a three-point lead at halftime. They went man-to-man on us in the second half and we just couldn't score.
"Our defense got better, too, but they got a few more points."
Faith Christian (2-1) advanced to the title game with a 53-11 conquest of Liberty Christian of Fayetteville. Eleven of 12 players scored at least one point against a young and inexperienced squad.
Clarke and Karie Maddox emerged the top scorer with eight points apiece. Kristen Maddox provided seven points and six steals, followed by Christopher with six points and six steals. Amie Hill added five points.
Melissa Howell and Channing Mills grabbed nine and seven rebounds, respectively.
The Conquerors return to action at home Friday against N.C. Christian Schools Association member Raleigh Christian Academy.
