At the NC BASS Federation State Finals tournament at Lake Norman recently, the Kenly Bass Masters won top awards in three of four categories. These awards were based on club activities for the year 2003.
Editor Jeff Narron and the Kenly Bass Masters received the Newsletter of the Year award with the "Inside Buzz".
North East Region Director and Kenly Bass Master Youth Director Johnny Starling received the NC BASS Federation Bass Master of the Year award for 2003.
The Kenly Bass Masters also won the NC BASS Federation Club of the Year award.
While most people view fishing clubs as only being about fishing, the Kenly Bass Masters strive to give back to the community as much as possible through Christmas donations and the Casting Kids program held annually.
This year, the Kenly Bass Masters is promoting a Christmas Tackle Box program for organizations that promote youth fishing activities in the community. Fishing rods and tackle boxes full of lures donated by club members will be given to these organizations.
For consideration in the Christmas Tackle Box program or additional club information, contact Ed Collier at Outdoor Accessories in Kenly.
