DUDLEY -- Michael Allen collected 12 tackles, recovered a fumble and returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown in Southern Wayne's victory against Eastern Carolina 3-A archrival Eastern Wayne.
Dequan Cozart and Eric Futrell each picked off a Warrior pass, while Dakevius Williams forced a pair of fumbles. Antwan Chestnut recovered both.
Southern Wayne head coach Trae McKee added that Andre Williams, Thomas Olliver, Joseph Legg and Jeremy Hargrove played well on defense.
Anthony Council emerged the Saints' offensive leader with 140 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown run. Legg, Dontae Ashford and Michael Holland each rushed for a touchdown.
Holland threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Emmanuel Hinton and concluded the night with a season-high 175 yards passing.
Andrew Blevins tallied Eastern Wayne's lone rushing touchdown and finished with 50 yards on 12 totes. Orlando Midgett provided 74 yards on seven carries.
Quarterback Eric Brofft threw a 21-yard touchdown strike to David White.
Nolan Lancaster led the Warrior defense with 13 tackles.
Southern Wayne (6-2, 5-1) travels to Goldsboro next Thursday. Meanwhile, Eastern Wayne (1-7, 0-6 ECC) entertains league-leading Charles B. Aycock. Each game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

WINTERVILLE -- C.B. Aycock amassed 315 yards total offense and remained unbeaten in six Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference outings on Thursday evening.
Thomas Pilkington accounted for three touchdowns -- two rush, one pass -- as the Golden Falcons improved to 7-1. His touchdown runs covered one and seven yards, and Erik Taylor snagged an 18-yard touchdown pass late in the opening quarter.
Joseph Toler led Aycock's ground attack with 109 yards, including a 62-yard touchdown, on just eight carries. Pilkington rambled 69 yards on seven carries. Fred McClain, Javonta Taylor and Kyle Williams combined for 72 yards on 15 carries.
Each team ran 49 offensive plays.
Jarrett Covar recorded a team-leading nine tackles defensively. William Yelverton and Travis Milligan each had eight stops. Toler contributed seven tackles, while Chris Foreman recorded six.
C.B. Aycock is the guest of Eastern Wayne next Thursday.

Kinston 13
KINSTON -- Goldsboro exploded for 22 third-quarter points and rolled past Kinston in an Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference contest at Viking Stadium.
Trailing 13-12, the Cougars converted a fourth-and-3 play from the Kinston 17-yard line into a touchdown. Quarterback Tim Kornegay threw a 17-yard strike to Brandon Davis with 9 minutes, 4 seconds remaining in the preiod.
Iveon Spangler added a three-yard touchdown run with less than four minutes to go in the third. The Kornegay-Davis connection concluded the three-touchdown outburst with a nine-yard scoring pass at the 2-minute, 14-second mark.
Kornegay returned an interception 53 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
The Goldsboro defense recorded four interceptions -- two by Davis and one each by T.J. and Tim Kornegay. Brandon Stokes claimed top-tackle honors with nine stops and two fumble recoveries.
Dante Love, Kelvin James and A.J. Holloway each had six tackles. Dan Bryant recorded five, followed by Brandon Green and Andrew Phifer with four apiece. Cedric McClary had three stops.
Goldsboro (7-2) entertains Southern Wayne next Thursday.
