Eastern Wayne needed one set to adjust to its new offense and West Craven never let the Warriors back into the contest Thursday afternoon. The visiting Eagles prevailed 25-8, 25-23, 25-15 in the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference match.

Coach Bruce Burridge abandoned his 5-1 offense and installed a 6-2 scheme in Wednesday's practice.

"The first game was definitely a learning lesson figuring out where we were supposed to be," Burridge said. "They caught onto it some in the second game. But I can't take anything away from West Craven. Every time we left a hole, they put the ball there.

"Even though we lost, I was happy with the progression we made. We still have to time to catch up. We're moving in the right direction."

The Warriors (0-8, 0-4 ECC) entertain South Lenoir next Tuesday. Eastern Wayne needed one set to adjust to its new offense and West Craven never let the Warriors back into the contest Thursday afternoon. The visiting Eagles prevailed 25-8, 25-23, 25-15 in the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference match.
