Volleyball -- C.B. Aycock sweeps Kinston in ECC volleyball

PIKEVILLE -- Lindsey Newman recorded 12 kills as Charles B. Aycock thumped Kinston 25-11, 25-18, 25-15 in Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference play Thursday.
The Golden Falcons won their 19th straight ECC game and 42nd overall in 47 tries since the league's inception in 2001.
Julia Lancaster served seven aces.
Coach Davis Harris said the team received "strong play from Caroline Potter and Morgan Davis."
Aycock (6-1, 3-0 ECC) travels to West Craven next Tuesday
