Prep soccer -- Panthers prevail

FRANKLINTON -- North Johnston's Dale Price scored with 19 minutes left on a pass from Tripp Sloan as the Panthers escaped with a 5-4 on the road at state-ranked Franklinton on Monday.
The Panthers took a 3-2 lead into halftime on a pair of goals by Jake Lomonaco and one by Garrett Stancil. Raul Farfan and Will Holloman had assists in the first half.
In the second half, North Johnston's Marvin Molina gave the Panthers a 4-2 lead before the Rams (1-1) answered with a pair of goals to tie the game near the 20-minute mark.
Franklinton outshot the Panthers 13-7 on the game.
North Johnston (1-2) hosts C.B. Aycock on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
