Wayne Country Day's Mimi Bridgers emerged the top girls runner and Rosewood's boys notched a perfect score in a non-conference cross country meet Thursday afternoon.
Bridgers ran the 3.1-mile course in 25 minutes and 37 seconds, and finished nearly two minutes ahead of runner-up Emily Thronson. Thronson's second-place showing and Stephanie Behrend's third-place effort helped the Eagles claim the overall win 23-32.
Rosewood's Casey Elrod turned in a top time of 22:53 in the boys' portion of the meet. The Eagles ran unopposed and earned the perfect 15-50 score.
The teams are scheduled to run again Aug. 30.
