Softball -- C.B. Aycock JV goes unbeaten

PIKEVILLE -- Julia Lancaster threw a complete-game two-hitter as C.B. Aycock concluded its season with a 6-2 victory against Eastern Carolina 3-A opponent Washington.
Lancaster added eight strikeouts as the Golden Falcons finished a perfect 15-0, including a 10-0 worksheet in the ECC.
Rusti Talton paced Aycock with three hits in four plate appearances. Shelly Lancaster doubled and tripled in four at-bats. Julia Lancaster and Morgan Davis each turned a 2-for-4 effort.
"These girls really had a great night offensively," Aycock coach Marty Gurganus said.
