Goldsboro falls to Kinston

Goldsboro's Eric McLean and Sean Sheffield had one hit each as the Cougars fell 18-0 at home against Kinston on Friday.

Kinston (7-15, 7-8 Class 3-A Eastern Carolina Conference) got a four hit, one-home run effort from Reggie Dixon, while Richard Nobles had three hits.

Nobles also picked up the win on the mound, striking out eight.

Goldsboro (1-20, 0-15 ECC) hosts Southern Wayne on Tuesday.
