LITTLEFIELD -- North Duplin Long-distance runner Amy Arthur claimed three events and teammate Sierra Ward dominated the hurdles competition in a three-team Carolina 1-A Conference meet at Ayden-Grifton on Thursday afternoon.

Arthur won the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 runs. She also ran one leg on the winning 3,200 relay squad that included Emily Deibert, Antoinette Hanchey and Kelly Martin.

Klard captured the 100 hurdles in 18.85 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 54.82.

Farmville Central's won nine events and earned 52 points. The Rebels were next with 39 and the Chargers scored 31.

North Duplin won the 800 relay in 1 minute, 41 seconds. Matt Braswell ran the opening leg, followed by Charlton Armwood, Eric Hudson and Tim Evans.

The Jaguar boys finished with a total of 106 points. Ayden-Grifton (35) and North Duplin (25) rounded out the meet.
