Rams run past Golden Falcons

PIKEVILLE -- Greene Central's boys and girls track teams swept Charles B. Aycock in the season-opening meet for both schools Tuesday.

The Greene Central girls took an 84-61 win while the boys earned a 76-69 decision.

Tyvonne Johnson sparked the Ram boys with four victories. He took first place in the long jump, the 100-meter hurdles, the 100 and the 300 hurdles.

Aycock received individual wins from Chris Byrd (shot put), Jamorris Dickerson (tie, high jump), Tim Harrison (1,600 run) and Blake Brockmeyer (pole vault).

Tekatia May was a double winner for the Greene Central girls, taking the triple jump and the 400-meter dash. Shontay Dodd added wins in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.

Liza Davis claimed the 1,600 and 3,200 runs for Aycock.

Greene Central visits South Central on Thursday, while C.B. Aycock is the guest of Princeton.
