Wayne Co. Middle School Standings

DUDLEY -- The Brogden Middle School girls basketball team emerged the lone unbeaten squad during play this season in Wayne County Middle School Athletic Conference action.
The Rams compiled a perfect 14-0 record and seized the WCMSAC Division I title with an 8-0 mark.
Brogden coach Jay Bryant was named coach of the year.
Eastern Wayne's boys (Division I) and Goldsboro's boys (Division II) each ended up 8-0 in division play. Each team also lost just one game in 14 outings.
Eastern Wayne's Tim Chatagnier took top coaching honors in the Division I boys' ranks.
In Division II, Grantham's girls went 8-6 overall and 7-1 in conference to take first.
Lady Bulldogs' coach Andy Wingate was named coach of the year.
Goldsboro coach Dexter Yelverton garnered coach of the year in Division II boys play.
Mount Olive's boys and girls finished runners-up in Division II. Each fashioned a 6-2 conference worksheet.
Greenwood took second in Division I girls, while Brogden finished three games back of Eastern Wayne in Division I.
