MOUNT OLIVE -- Thursday's snowstorm postponed the final regular-season basketball women's and men's basketball contests between Coker (S.C.) College and Mount Olive College.

The games have been rescheduled for Sunday. The women tip off at 2 p.m. at College Hall, with the men's game starting at approximately 4 p.m.

Four of the five NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference games scheduled for Thursday were moved to today. St. Andrews is the guest of Pfeiffer University, Limestone travels to Erskine, Queens visits Anderson and Lees-McRae faces Belmont Abbey.

Eight teams conclude the regular season Saturday, including Anderson, which will play host to Mount Olive.

Thursday's storm also pushed the first round of the CVAC Tournament from Monday to Tuesday. The change did not affect the Mount Olive men's basketball team, which clinched a first-round bye and will play host to a quarterfinal-round game Wednesday at 7 p.m. at College Hall.

The Trojan men 19-6 overall and 13-5 in the CVAC. They are currently in third place in the CVAC standings and will enter next week's tournament as either the No. 2 or No. 3 seed.

The Mount Olive women's basketball team will play a first-round game, although the opponent and site are still to be determined.

The Lady Trojans are 10-15 overall and 6-12 in the CVAC. They are currently in eighth place in the CVAC standings and will host a first-round game Tuesday if they remain in the No. 8 spot.

In addition to the basketball games, Mount Olive's baseball game at Elizabeth City State, scheduled for Thursday, has been postponed and rescheduled for March 31. Thursday's men's tennis match against N.C. Wesleyan and today's women's tennis match against Peace have both been postponed.

No make-up dates have been announced at this time.
