CINDY ETHERIDGE HOWELL

Cindy Etheridge Howell, 54, resident of the Calypso area, passed away suddenly at home Wednesday evening, Aug. 1, 2018.
Her life will be remembered in a service Saturday, Aug. 4, at 5 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the Rev. Ronnie Wise officiating, with visitation to follow. Burial will be Sunday, Aug.5, at 3 p.m. in Rock Hill Cemetery, 5720 Lamm Road, Wilson, N.C.
Cindy had been a child care provider and was a native of Wilson County.
She is survived by her three sons, David Howell, Daniel Howell, and Zachary Howell, all of Calypso; her father and step-mother, Robert Louis Etheridge and Louise Etheridge, of Bailey; a sister, Gail E. Davis with husband, Stanley, of Wilson; a niece, Shanna Wood with husband, Ricky; and nephew, Blake Sanders. Also surviving are Gatlin and Preston Marshburn, small lads who were in her loving care during working hours.
Her mother, Ernestine Godwin Etheridge, preceded her in death.
Cindy loved her three boys more than life itself. A people person, she thoroughly enjoyed the beach and the peacefulness it offered, and when she felt able, she found pleasure in tending to her yard, even mowing the lawn. At her sudden departure, she will be sorely missed.
