DORIS VIRGINIA HOSKIN BASS
June 22, 1935-July 22, 2018
Mrs. Doris Virginia Hoskin Bass, 83, 129 Heath St., Clinton, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018, at DaySpring Assisted Living in Wallace.
Funeral will be Wednesday, July 25, at 2 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Richard Weeks and the Rev. Joel Story officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
She was born June 22, 1935, in Wayne County, to the late Herman Dixon and Katie Hope Hoskin. She was married to the late Roy Bass.
She was a former employee of Hamilton Beach, and a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Doris is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Ray Bass and wife, Kathy, of Mount Olive and David Wayne Bass and wife, Becky, of Hampton, Va.; a sister, Edna Grady, of Mount Olive; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” Hoskins, and her sister, Marie Wimbley.
Visitation will be an hour prior to the service Wednesday, beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
