BETTY CAROL EZZELL MOORE

July 17, 1946-June 25, 2018 

Betty Carol Ezzell Moore completed her journey home, and was called to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, June 25, 2018, to the welcoming words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Betty Carol was born in Wayne County July 17, 1946, to the late Marie B. and Nathaniel Jack Ezzell. She was married to the late Walter Harold Moore.

Her life was filled with humility, kindness and a love for others that she displayed every time she smiled. She dedicated her life to serving her family unselfishly and to serving her Lord.

Betty Carol was a member of United in Christ Church.

She was always on call to give an encouraging word or helping hand to her daughter and nieces, as well as many others.

The family will greet friends Thursday, June 28, 2018, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate Betty Carol’s life at 7 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Ira Williford and the Rev. Harvey Parrish officiating. Interment will be Friday, June 29, 2018, at 10 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Betty Carol is survived by her daughter, Valynda Moore; sister, Linda Faye Brock; and brother, Jack “June Bug” Ezzell and wife, Diane.

She is also survived several nieces, including Debbie, Lynn and Joan, whom she loved very much, as well as many other family and friends.

Betty Carol will be remembered as a special Grammy to her dog, Daisy.
