Terri Padgett Massey, 61, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends following the service.
A graveside service will be Monday, June 11, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Fuquay-Varina.
Mrs. Massey was born in Wake County, N.C., Jan. 2, 1957, to the late Hue Fredrick and Belle Cates Padgett.
She was a former member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina.
She is survived by her sister, Susan Walls and husband, Bobby, of Rosewood; her nephew, Jason Walls and wife, Cari Ann; her niece, Julie Jones and husband, Wesley; her great-nieces, Kate and Abby Jones; her great-nephews, Preston and Palmer Walls; her aunts, Diane Kiel and husband, Steve, of Raleigh and Ruth Beck of Raleigh; her uncle, Jerry Cates and wife, Helen, of Tennessee; and her beloved fur babies, “Mack” and “Chelsea.”
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association Eastern Carolina Chapter, 5171 Glenwood Ave., Suite 101, Raleigh, N.C., 27612.
Mrs. Massey was very passionate, and participated in walks in her support of the disease.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
