MARIE RADFORD TAYLOR

Marie Radford Taylor, 85, Kinston, N.C., passed away peacefully March 20, 2018, in Newport, N.C., at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
The daughter of Leslie and Pearl Radford, Marie was born in Hanover County, Va., Jan. 15, 1933.
She graduated from Nahunta High School in Wayne County in 1951, and worked with Sears of Kinston and Greenville until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Billy Taylor, and by her siblings, Lawrence Radford, Mack Radford, Raymond Radford, Lynwood Radford and Thelma McKeel.
She is survived by her children, daughter, Jackie Shivar and husband, Mike, of Kinston and son, Mike Taylor and wife, Nancy, of Fort Mill, S.C.; granddaughter, Ashley Shivar of Jacksonville, N.C.; sister, Evelyn Lamm and husband, Gene, of Niceville, Fla.; brother, Ed Radford and wife, Gail, of Nahunta; and by several sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews and their children.
In the last years, she was cared for by Terry Norville, Georgia Stocks and Joan Creel.
Funeral services will be graveside March 24, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park, with arrangements by Howard-Carter Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at her home following the service.
