Mother Delores Atkinson, 83, 1002 S. Best St., died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice.
Funeral will be Saturday 2 p.m. at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Headquarters. Interment will be in Golden Gate Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 10, 1934, in Washington, D.C., to the late Charles Willie and Elnora Gibbs Ross.
She is survived by eight children.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 tonight at Haskins Funeral Home, with the family present 6 to 7. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, where it will assemble for the funeral procession.
