David Edward Hope, 58, Pikeville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, 2017, at7 p.m.in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro with visitation afterwards. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs.
Mr. Hope was a native of Wayne County, born on Oct. 28, 1959, to Jacqueline Taylor Hope Jordan of Goldsboro and the late Edward Ernest Hope.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Hope is survived by two sons, Jason Hope of Goldsboro and Brandon Hope of Pikeville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Ernest Hope; and his stepfather, Robert Jordan.
